On June 13, Peacock made an exciting announcement regarding the upcoming season 4 of The Traitors, revealing that the beloved NFL mom, Donna Kelce, will be joining the cast. Donna, who is well-known as the mother of NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce, will enter the competition alongside a diverse group of celebrities.

The stakes are high, as participants will vie for a substantial cash prize that could reach up to $250,000, adding an extra layer of intrigue and excitement to the show. Fans of both the NFL and reality television are sure to be captivated by her presence and the dynamics that will unfold in this competitive environment.

On Thursday, June 12, the official X account for the brothers’ podcast, New Heights, released a clip from an episode that is set to air in September 2024. In this particular segment, Travis, aged 35, and Jason, who is 37, engaged in a lively discussion about the Peacock series.

Their conversation revolved around a playful debate regarding their individual capabilities and whether either of them would excel in the context of the show. This exchange not only highlights their dynamic as siblings but also offers a glimpse into their perspectives on the entertainment industry.

In a recent post on X, the brothers behind the podcast playfully announced that they were sharing a clip of their discussion about the show Traitors “for no reason whatsoever,” accompanied by a smirk emoji.

This lighthearted comment appears to be a subtle hint at an upcoming announcement regarding their mother’s casting in the series, generating excitement and speculation among their followers. The use of humor in their message not only engages their audience but also builds anticipation for the news they are likely to reveal soon.

Jason reflected on his past attempt to play the game with friends, a memory that filled him with a sense of dread. He described himself as “terrible” at the concept of betrayal, a sentiment that stemmed from his self-proclaimed inability to lie convincingly.

The experience had been a challenging one, as he struggled to navigate the intricate dynamics of deception and trust that the game demanded. Despite the camaraderie and laughter shared among friends, Jason’s discomfort with the role of a traitor left him feeling out of place, highlighting the stark contrast between the playful nature of the game and his own moral compass.

During our expedition to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, I quickly realized that I lacked the necessary skills and experience for such an endeavor. It was a memorable experience, but not without its challenges. Almost immediately, my fellow climbers seemed to sense my uncertainty, and I found myself being labeled as the group’s “traitor.”

Their reactions were swift and decisive, as if they had collectively decided that I was not fully committed to the journey. In response to their accusations, I felt compelled to defend myself, insisting, “No, I’m not a traitor!” This moment highlighted not only my own insecurities but also the dynamics of group perception in high-stakes situations.

Travis expressed his deep enthusiasm for the show, stating that he truly enjoys observing how individuals respond when faced with challenging situations. He finds the dynamics of pressure and human behavior particularly fascinating. Meanwhile, Jason mentioned that he often takes notes while watching, indicating that he values the insights and strategies presented.

He noted that there are moments when participants share thoughts or strategies that resonate strongly, prompting him to think, “That’s a valuable perspective.” This exchange highlights the show’s impact on its viewers, who not only find entertainment but also practical lessons in resilience and decision-making.

Donna will join 22 other contestants this season.

The cast features a diverse array of contestants from various reality television backgrounds, showcasing familiar faces from popular shows. Among them are Natalie Anderson, known for her adventurous spirit on “The Amazing Race,” and Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, along with Rob Cesternino, both of whom gained recognition through their strategic gameplay on “Survivor.”

Additionally, the lineup includes Tiffany Mitchell and Ian Terry, both of whom made their mark on “Big Brother.” The ensemble is further enriched by a selection of prominent Housewives from different franchises, such as Candiace Dillard Bassett from “Real Housewives of Potomac,” Dorinda Medley from “Real Housewives of New York City,” Lisa Rinna from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Porsha Williams from “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and Caroline Stanbury from “Real Housewives of Dubai.”

Rounding out the cast are individuals with notable competition show experience, including Mark Ballas from “Dancing with the Stars,” Monét X Change from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and Kristen Kish from “Top Chef,” all of whom bring their unique talents and perspectives to the mix.

Donna’s casting comes three months after Dylan Efron, Dolores Catania, Gabby Windey and Ivar Mountbatten won season 3.

The final season of The Traitors wrapped up in March, culminating in a victory for loyal contestants Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Ivar Mountbatten, and Gabby Windey. Instead of attempting to eliminate any remaining competitors, the group made a collective decision to divide the prize money equally, resulting in each winner receiving a substantial sum of $204,300.

This choice was influenced by a brief calculation shared by Efron with PEOPLE, who noted that if they had chosen to eliminate Dolores, the remaining trio would have gained an additional $17,000 each, which, after taxes, would translate to about $10,000. Efron expressed a preference for maintaining amicable relationships over a marginal financial gain, emphasizing the value of friendship over competition.
