Shelly Gillyard, the Vice President of Series Marketing for the U.S. and Canada, emphasized the significance of this approach, stating that this marks the first time the company has adopted a live format for the show.
Her comments were made during the Netflix Tudum fan event held last Saturday, underscoring the platform’s commitment to engaging its viewers with innovative and interactive experiences.
Gillyard noted that previous years focused on fan activations held on the ground. The event, Tudum, derives its name from the iconic sound that precedes every Netflix film and series.

Gillyard indicated that the live event might be hosted in different locations in the future, emphasizing that Netflix prioritizes global accessibility over the specific venue.
